Our mission, vision and values
Chef Gastronomy Host was born from the passion for travels, good food and wine and connections. We truly believe all these elements are connected to each other and that all of them require time in their process, like leavening and fermentation. As a mission we work towards designing and delivering the best tailor-made tours that exceed our hosts'expectations, leaving them memorable moments. We would like to be able to share what we know and to keep learning by giving a voice to small manufacturers. Furthermore, we think a sustainable tourism is possible for both the environment and host communities, and that's one of the reasons why we prefer spring and fall for travelling, avoiding to do it in high season. Through our mission we strive for excellence, with the vision for the future to offer you the best trips and guest experience we can, to succeed in sharing our love for these territories and be able to involve more and more people showing them what's behind italian handicraft. The values that daily help us to follow our goals are trust and trasparency, sustainability and social responsability.
Our Story
Chef Gastronomy Host was born from an idea of Chef Salvo, as he's called from friends, who brought in the company the desire of sharing regional cuisine, a powerful ingredient of local culture, and the willing of supporting territories, communities and traditions. We give him an official presentation: he's the owner, the chef in charge and the host, Salvatore Rossetti, who after years spent travelling for work in Europe and Asia, chose Greece as his second home opening Pixida (compass in Greek) Italian Restaurant. Twenty years later he had the best intuition he could have: making of his two big passions a new business. He put together the good contacts he had, finding the final pieces of the puzzle.
